Rock & Water is an educational program developed by Freerk Ykema that aims to enhance social, emotional and spiritual development.

The Aspley State High School Rock & Water Program helps develop self control and self confidence in Year 8 – 10 students through physical activities to increase self awareness, control and confidence.

The activities have their origins in martial arts and explore notions such as inner strength, centres of energy and groundedness. Role plays are used to explore issues such as bullying, personal space, self defence and trust.

Students are invited to participate by the Deputy Principal of that Year Level. The first program does not commence until Term 2. There is no charge for this program and all training occurs during school time.
