Code: GEO003
Title: Geography: Hazards, Disasters & Survival
Pre-requisites: HUMS
Coordinator: Mr Bruce Chadwick

The study of Hazards, Disasters and Survival is about life on the Australian continent. Because Australia has such a diverse range of environments it is difficult to determine what the typical environment is like. From mountains to mangroves the environment is constantly changing. So to does the weather- from violent storms, destructive cyclones to droughts and flooding, Australia probably experiences more different types of hazards and disasters than any other nation in the world. This means that all the different types of environments require a different approach to survival for all living things.
