Welcome to the Science Faculty. The Science Faculty offers students a full range of curriculum opportunities through junior curriculum core and extension programs and senior authority subjects.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in a range of extra-curricular activities including the University of Queensland Science & Engineering Challenge, The ICAS Science Competition for Schools, Siemens Science Experience and in recent times has become a centre for professional development for local primary school teachers through the Aspley Science Cluster.

Facilities include a dedicated Science Building housing three laboratories and media rooms supported by two other laboratories and demonstration rooms within the school grounds. Recent developments in curriculum have seen the use of dataloggers and digital microscopy added to the learning experiences available to all students.

Science students at Aspley State High School will experience a modern curriculum that allows all participants a chance to achieve their best in a supportive and caring environment.

In today’s world, our students have access to many opportunities and pathways to their futures. To help guide our students in the right direction, the Science Pathway(PDF 75kb) will assist in preparing and planning for future study, careers and transitioning to future employment.
