Code: HPE005 This unit is based upon the fact that health is dynamic and is shaped through the constant, changing interactions between individuals and their environments. Therefore maintaining the health of the individual is not only a personal responsibility but also the responsibility of the community to which an individual belongs. Students will be introduced to the process of inquiry for investigation and build knowledge and skills for response which can facilitate informed decisions and action that promotes health for themselves and others. The learning environment offered will promote the students to develop as complex, self-directed thinkers, creative and active investigators and offer them insight into the senior health education course. This course is entirely theoretical. Topics
AssessmentStudents will be assessed through a variety of tasks that reflect the nature of tasks that will be encountered in senior health education. The following is a guide and all tasks will be equally weighted.
