Title: Toys R Us
Pre-requisites: IND001 – Introduction to Product Design
Outcome levels: Level 4/5
Coordinator: Mr Trevor Eason

In this unit, students will undertake a course of study focused on the design of small wooden toys. This unit will look at both the designing of the product and the final completion of it after careful research and planning. Students will work with a media of timber products both solid and man made to gain their core outcomes. They will become aware of safety when operating and working with hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery. A main facet of this course is to allow students to design their own products through some specifications or requirements placed upon them by their teacher.
