Code: JMA007
Title: Mathematics
Pre-requisites: JMA006
Outcome levels: PA6.1, PA6.2, CD6.1, S6.1
Coordinator: Mr Michael Craven

In this unit, students interpret and solve problems using mathematical models of realistic situations by algebraic, graphical and electronic methods. They find relationships between lines and triangles and determine probabilities to justify statements.

Topics
  • Algebra – simultaneous equations
  • Analytical geometry – gradients and distance
  • Algebra – quadratic equations and functions
  • Deductive geometry – similarity and congruence
  • Algebra – rational expressions
  • Probability
