Code: SCI002 Title: Reproduction, Growth & Survival Coordinator: Mr Michael Sparks
This unit looks at life in general. What are our bodies and other organisms made of? How do we make more organisms? Are there more ways to reproduce than having sex? How do different organisms care for their offspring? How do we classify organisms?
Survival is determined by whether an organism is suited to living in the environment. Our senses (eyes, ears, nose, taste and sense of touch) can help us find out about the environment and in the long run, survive. Understanding natural disasters like cyclones can help us survive. Water recycling and energy for the future are other issues explored in this unit.
