Title: Hit the Floor

From ballet to popular dance ‘Hit The Floor’ explores the historical, geographical and sociological contexts of a variety of genres. Students compare and contrast styles, learn repertoire and create their own choreography with the opportunity to feature their work in a school production.

Assessment

Students will complete the following pieces of assessment:

  • An appreciation task – Video analysis: Mid term 1
  • A performance task – Repertoire: End term 1
  • A choreographic task – Movement/dance piece: End term 2 DOWNLOAD
