Parents and citizens association

The Aspley State High P&C Association provides both parents and community members the opportunity to gain a better depth of their school, gaining knowledge of upcoming activities, proposed ideas for the future and have opportunity to share views on school policies. The P&C is active in applying for grants for equipment or structures that will benefit the students. The school Tuckshop falls under the banner of the P&C, which is the major source of income for the school.
Other areas in which the P&C Association actively supports are:
Textbook & Resources Scheme: The P & C supports a Textbook and Resource Scheme as operated by the school. This scheme allows students to have access to all avenues of learning materials, including textbooks, class book sets, printed notes, physical education resources, sport resources, Resource Centre and computer resources.
Textbook Allowance: As outlined in the Textbook & Resources Scheme documents, the applicable Government Textbook Allowance for each year level is paid directly to the school.  Should parents/caregivers wish to make an arrangement with the school, regular payments can be made during the year to ease the burden on the household budget. These payments can be made at the school office and EFTPOS is available.
Uniforms: Aspley State High School is a uniform school. This means that the whole school community has decided that ALL students wear the Aspley High uniform. The uniform policy sits within the Behaviour Management Policy of the school. All items of uniform clothing are available from Y’s store on Kirby Road at Aspley, just around the corner from the school. We also have a second hand uniform shop on the school grounds which stock some stationery items alongside the second-hand uniforms. Our uniform is an essential part of our school culture, instilling pride in our school, our presentation and our community. For information on the operating hours of Wearitto uniform shop, please refer to website.
The P&C support disciplinary procedures for students who do not comply with the School Dress Code.
Building Fund: Aspley State High School P&C Association operates and supports a tax deductible Building Fund, all donations are used solely to the benefit of our students.
Meetings: The Association meets in the staff room in the administration building on the third Wednesday of each month, with meetings starting at 6:00p.m. Please check the calendar for dates. The meetings have an agenda, where we provide financial reports of the P&C, reports from the Principal and open the forum to general discussion. New members are always warmly welcomed and parents are invited to have input into school policies through the various school committees.
Our  P & C Officers are:

Vice President – Robert Hayward
Secretary – Debbie Bodley
Treasurer – Carol Wilkins
