This program provides a valuable
co-curricular experience for all students from Years 7-12 who have experience
or an interest in learning Strings, Percussion, Woodwind and Brass instruments.
Strings: violin, viola, cello, double bass or bass guitar.
Percussion: (both tuned and untuned percussion instruments, including drum kit)
Woodwind: (flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone)
Brass: (trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone, euphonium, tuba)

- Performing in an ensemble greatly improves your musicianship and listening skills
- Music Camps, Annual Tours and incursion performances with International guests are included in the program
- Regular performance opportunities in the local community and primary feeder schools
- Involvement in Music Immersion Day's that are supported by local musicians specialising in a particular instrument
- Mentoring from numerous music staff members and other passionate Arts staff to further develop performance skills
What are we looking for?
- Students with an interest in learning an instrument from the list above
- Clear passion for Instrumental Music and continuing their studies
- Commitment to weekly rehearsals and lessons
- Ability to work in a small or large ensemble groups
Program entry: Strings
- No audition is necessary to participate
- A selection of instruments are available to hire from the school
- Beginners welcome

- Participation in our Music Tour and performance events throughout the year
