Theatre Sports is an inter-school competition based on the art of
improvisation. It is available to students from Years 7-12 who are interested in developing their skills.
The program takes place on a Tuesday afternoon in I Block and provides an
opportunity for students in the school to experience Drama-related activities in a friendly, non-competitive environment.
Students
will also be given the opportunity to audition for our competitive
teams. These teams will travel to other schools in Terms 3 and 4 to
compete and network with other students across Brisbane.
How do the games run?
- Students will play 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-minute games
- Each game has a set of specific rules and instructions
- Students improvise scenarios based on the rules and instructions of each game
- There is a focus on teamwork, entertainment and following structure
- In competition, each round gets judged by several judges on a score of 1-10.
Who can get involved?
- Theatre Sports is open to students across Years 7-12
- No audition is required for students interested in taking part on a Tuesday afternoon – so come along and try it out!
- Auditions will take place for competitive teams only.
