A-Factor has been an integral part of Aspley State High School's culture for several years. This annual talent show, held in Term 4, is a highlight of the school calendar, celebrating the diverse talents of our students. A-Factor is a student-led event, guided by our dedicated A-Factor Captains, and revolves around a unique theme selected by the leaders each year. The evening is a showcase of singing, dancing, and acting, featuring talents of all kinds—big or small!
Auditions and Finale
To secure a spot in the A-Factor finale, students must audition during a series of heats held in the weeks leading up to the main event. Contestants are judged, and the top acts are selected to perform in the finale. Students have the opportunity to compete in five categories:
- Overall Winner
- Best Group Performance
- Best Senior Performance
- Best Junior Performance
- Rising Star Award
Themes and Atmosphere
The school hall is transformed with decorations that bring the theme to life, creating an immersive experience for both performers and audience members. Past themes have included:

Participation Opportunities
A-Factor is inclusive of all students, offering a variety of ways to get involved, even for those who may not want to be on stage. Students can contribute by:
