Musicals at Aspley State High School
At Aspley State High School, our musical productions are a highlight of the school calendar, taking place every two years. These productions are a fantastic opportunity for students from Years 7 to 12 to showcase their talents in various capacities. Students can participate as lead characters, chorus members, core dancers, backstage crew, sound and light technicians, photographers, and even in food service roles.
Current Production

Get ready to journey to a far, far away kingdom as Aspley State High School proudly presents Shrek The Musical.
Based on the Academy Award-winning DreamWorks animated film and the
beloved stage production, this spectacular musical brings everyone’s
favourite unlikely hero to life. When a grumpy yet lovable ogre sets out
to reclaim his swamp, he finds himself on an unexpected quest filled
with a feisty princess, a fast-talking donkey, a vertically challenged
villain and a whole cast of fairy tale misfits.
Packed with humour, heart and high-energy musical numbers, Shrek The
Musical is a celebration of friendship, courage and embracing what
makes us unique. With spectacular costumes, dynamic choreography and
outstanding student talent, this promises to be an entertaining
theatrical experience for audiences of all ages.
Join us for what is sure to be a memorable production as our students bring this much-loved story to the stage.
